The term sustainability is overused and often misused.

MxG Fiber can provide the standard industry certifications including BPI and ASTM for compostability. However, sustainability goes beyond compostable certifications.

It begins with our packaging being made from a locally grown perennial crop – which is planted once and grows back every year for 20+ years. The impact on sustainability from using perennials is enormous, and includes:

  • Grown on land not suitable for food crops

  • Up to 2 tons of atmospheric carbon is sequestered per acre every year

  • Eliminate soil erosion and soil run off

  • Very low fertilizer requirements

  • Non-invasive

  • Non-GMO

  • Can be certified organic

These attributes, combined with a manufacturing process that uses significantly less chemicals and energy than traditional wood pulp, means the packaging you are purchasing from MxG Fiber is truly using America’s resources responsibly.  And while we are taking care of the environment your purchase is also bringing new income to farmers that own fields with poor soils and new manufacturing jobs to America.  This is our vision of how sustainability improves the U.S. economy.

As the world changes, MxG packaging can change the world
